I've always wanted to excel in factoring on ti-84, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've searched the internet for some good learning resources, and consulted the local library for some books, but all the data seems to be directed to people who already know the subject. Is there any tool that can help new people as well?

You can try out Algebrator. This literally helps you solve questions in math very fast. You can plug in the questions and this program will go through it with you step by step so you can understand easily as you solve them. There are some demos available so you can also get to know how incredibly helpful the program is. I am sure your factoring on ti-84 can be solved faster here.

I found out a some software programs that are appropriate. I tried them out. The Algebrator appeared to be the best suited one for converting decimals, y-intercept and algebraic signs. It was also effortless to manage. It took me step by step towards the solution rather than only giving the solution. That way I got to learn how to work out the problems too. By the time I was finished, I had learnt how to explain the problems. I found them handy with Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Basic Math which aided me in my math classes. May be, this is just what you want . Why not try this out?

It’s amazing that a program can do that. I didn’t expect something like that could be helpful in algebra. I’m used to be taught by a teacher but this really sounds cool. Do you have any links for this software ?

Algebrator is a very user friendly software and is definitely worth a try. You will find lot of exciting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can say that it has made learning math more fun .
