is there a difference between solving a system of equations by the algebraic method and the graphical method? why?

Hey guys! Guess what, I had a bad cold last week, and have missed a few classes because of that. Now that our mid-semester are due next week I really need some help in topics like is there a difference between solving a system of equations by the algebraic method and the graphical method? why? and some other topics like unlike denominators, syntehtic division and graphing parabolas. I was thinking on hiring some private tutor but then my limited budget meant that I couldn’t do so. I really need some urgent help in those topics, else I might perform really badly in my final exams. Can anyone give some advice? I need some help, and I need it FAST!
