simplification of radicals with variables

Hello , I may sound really dumb to all the math gurus here, but it’s been a long time since I am learning simplification of radicals with variables, but I never found it appealing . In fact I always commit errors . I practise a lot, but still my marks do not seem to be improving.

I remember having problems with radical inequalities, complex fractions and evaluating formulas. Algebrator is a truly great piece of algebra software.
