I used Algebrator as well, especially in Remedial Algebra. It helped me a lot, and you won't believe how easy it is to use! It solves the tasks and it also describes everything step by step. Better than a teacher!

I remember having difficulties with matrices, midpoint of a line and solving inequalities. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Remedial Algebra, College Algebra and Algebra 2. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
